In her now-viral post, the actress didn’t mince words. She asked why some women prefer to dream about marrying billionaires instead of building wealth for themselves.
Her words:
“Work his as* off for money? Wetin do your own *ss? You don’t want to work? In this economy? It’s like some of you think we’re still living in Bible times.”
Jemima went further to remind ladies that the billionaire pool is very limited and cannot sustain everyone’s dream of being a full-time rich housewife.
She added:
“My good sis, there’s not enough billionaires in the world for all of us to be housewives. You better go and look for work"

Nigerians react to Jemima's comments
Legit.ng compiled the reactions of netizens below:
@Rexkinsm:
"That’s a harsh but fair reality check. The fantasy of being fully “kept” doesn’t match modern economics most households need dual incomes just to survive. Banking on a man’s money alone is unstable, especially in a world where jobs vanish and marriages collapse."
@Miemiedoo:
"The fact that an adult would reduce herself to just doing house chores in this big 2025 bothers me a lot, like you can do more why limit yourself? God forbid should anything happen to your sole provider what will become of you?"
@heyiitayo:
"My mum will always say don’t ever think of being a liability to a man, as for me oo I must even make this money, nothing less than this"
@homodasolar:
"Leave the man money one side sef, why will anyone human want to be dependent on another human!"
@OwoPariOla:
"After they got married with empty promises, they'll now be coming online to say "girl to girl: women should have their own money before getting married."
