1. Ayra Starr

Mavin Records star Ayra Starr suffered an embarrassing fall while performing at the Afrochella Festival in Ghana in December 2022. The singer, known for her vibrant stagecraft, slipped as she ran across the stage, briefly halting her performance.

The incident quickly trended online, sparking reactions from fans. Ayra later addressed it on social media, advising event organisers to ensure stages are cleaned properly to prevent such accidents.

2. Wizkid

Afrobeats superstar Wizkid experienced an unexpected fall during his Abuja concert in December 2021. While thrilling fans with his energetic performance, an overzealous fan grabbed his leg from the crowd, causing the singer to lose balance and stumble on stage.

Wizkid's bodyguards intervened as they tried to loosen the man's grip. During the struggle, the Grammy winner's trousers got torn, but he continued to smile and perform regardless.

3. Davido

Afrobeats star Davido fell on stage during a 2018 concert in Kigali, Rwanda. The singer tripped and fell while enthusiastically ascending the stage to perform his hit track Dami Duro.

4. Burna Boy

Grammy-winning singer Burna Boy had an unexpected fall while performing his global hit Last Last during a live concert in 2024.

The energetic performer, known for his vibrant stagecraft, attempted some dance moves but unfortunately stepped on an unstable surface, causing him to tumble to the ground.

For a brief moment, fans were stunned, and his bodyguards rushed towards him to help. However, Burna Boy quickly regained his composure before they could intervene. He carried on with the performance confidently, turning the mishap into another unforgettable concert moment.

5. Seyi Shay

Nigerian singer Seyi Shay suffered an embarrassing moment during her performance at the All Africa Music Awards (AFRIMA) in Lagos in 2017.

While delivering one of her hit tracks, the singer slipped and fell to the floor in front of the live audience.

Despite the shocking fall, Seyi Shay quickly picked herself up and continued performing with confidence. Later, she addressed the incident in interviews, saying such accidents are part of a performer’s life and that the show must always go on.

Fans aggressively hug Tiwa Savage at concert

Meanwhile, Legit.ng earlier reported that Nigerian songstress Tiwa Savage nearly fell on stage during a performance in Warri, Delta State, after excited fans wrapped their arms around her legs.

Rocking high heels, she briefly lost balance but was quickly steadied by her bouncers.
