However, recounting the incident in a written statement, Ogoyi, who is the daughter of an Osun state politician, stated that barely five minutes after boarding, the singer approached the aircraft holding a gold flask. Ground staff, following standard safety procedure, asked to verify the contents.

According to her, KWAM1 refused outright.

She stated:

“He was seen drinking from it, and the staff suspected it contained alcohol, which is prohibited onboard aircraft in Nigeria."

Ogoyi said the singer dismissed the request, reportedly telling staff: “Do you know who I am? You have no right to tell me to open my flask.”

Security personnel at the foot of the aircraft repeated the instruction, but things got heated. Boarding was halted, and Ogoyi decided to step out of the cockpit to speak with the musician directly.

Her attempt at diplomacy, however, allegedly ended in shock.

“Without warning, he poured the contents of the flask on me, security personnel, and some nearby passengers,” she claimed.

She added that the airport security immediately intervened, with the head of security recommending that the singer should not be allowed to board for the safety of everyone.

Ogoyi agreed, shut the aircraft doors, and prepared for take-off. But there was one more hurdle: the Fuji star was still standing near the aircraft, blocking movement.

She stated:

“I made a public announcement to explain the delay while security worked to move him away. Once he was out of sight, I commenced taxiing and departed for Lagos at about 8:50 am."
