2 men sentenced for stealing, duping with Aregbesola's cell phone.

The convicts Babatunde Ogunjobi, 33, and Abdulgafar Yusuf, 39, should serve 10 and 7 years imprisonment respectively,

The duo will be transferred to the Federal Prison, Ilesa. The irony is that one of the convicts, who stole the mobile phone, Yusuf, used to be a prison warder himself.

Gov. Aregbesola’s Sony Ericson cell phone valued N50,000, was stolen at Technical College sports ground in Osogbo on November 27, 2010.

The duo used the device for the first time to defraud one Shenge Rahman of N200,000 on May 24, 2011.

Next time the fraudsters defrauded the Owa Obokun of Ijeshaland, Oba Adekunle Aromolaran, of N500,000 on June 3, 2011.

In all the episodes the men pretended to be the Governor of Osun.

However, they got soon busted by the DSS in the state, after information of such crimes reached Gov. Aregbesola himself.
