PHOTOS: Chaos As ASUU Members Disrupt Lectures At UNIBEN

There was chaos yesterday, December 9th at the University of Benin as protesting members of Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, disrupted lectures holding in the institution.

Some UNIBEN lecturers had resumed academic activities following the Federal Government’s directive to resume work.

According to report, the protesting lecturers stormed the institution to stop all the lecturers that were holding lectures in the University.

ASUU task force disrupted a computer science lecture at the Faculty of Law at the university. As the lecturer gathered his students to begin his class, the Union members stormed the lecture room and stopped it.

The Vice Chancellor of the University, Osayuki Godwin Oshodin called the police to intervene but the Union also clashed with them putting an end to all on-going academic activities in the institution.
