The Senate president, Bukola Saraki, has led senators on a visit to Maiduguri, the Borno state capital for an on-the-spot assessment of the damages done to the state as a result of continued attacks by Boko Haram elements.
Saraki and his team are expected to visit residents who have been displaced by Boko Haram attacks that have ravaged the North-Eastern states of Borno, Adamawa and Yobe.

Saraki also took to his Twitter handle to tweet about his visit saying that it is aimed to restore hope to the people of the state. See his tweets below.
