Oba Of Lagos Causes War On Twitter

The governorship elections across the states in Nigeria will be coming up this Saturday, April 11.

In Lagos state, the battle for the post of governor is apparently between the candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP), even though there are other political parties which no one seems to be talking about.

Jimi Agbaje is the flag bearer of the PDP while AKinwumi Ambode is the APC candidate.

It is believed that Igbo residents in Lagos will vote for the PDP candidate, Agbaje.

This morning, Lagosians woke up to a threat by the Oba of Lagos, Rilwan Akiolu, who reportedly said Igbos living in Lagos should vote for Ambode, or else they will die in the lagoon.

Speaking at a meeting with Igbo leaders in the state, he was quoted as saying: “On Saturday, if anyone of you goes against Ambode who I picked, that is your end. If it doesn’t happen within seven days, just know that I am a bastard and it is not my father who gave birth to me.

“On Saturday, if anyone of you, I swear in the name of God, goes against my wish that Ambode will be the next governor of Lagos State, the person is going to die inside this water.”
