Cesaro's first opportunity at the Smackdown championship ended in a defeat as Roman Reigns retained his title at the recent Wrestlemania backlash, ESPN.

The Swiss Superman fell to the superior submission hold of the Big Dog in a tense match. Jey Uso and Seth Rollins came and inflicted more injuries on Cesaro after the end of the bout.

The Triple Threat Match between RAW champion Bobby Lashley, Drew McIntyre and Braun Strowman saw the Dominator walk out of the ring with his championship.

Another Triple Threat on the night was the women's Raw championship between Rhea Ripley, Asuka and Charlotte Flair.

Ripley had the win under her sleeves after claiming the title from Asuka in her second attempt at the Raw championship.

The pick of the bunch on the night was when Rey Mysterio and his son Dominic defeated Robert Roode and Dolph Ziggler.

Sheamus retained his United States championship over Ricochet while Damien Priest defeated The Miz in Lumberjack Match that had Zombies surrounding the ring.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng had earlier reported that Apollo Crews whose real names are Sesugh Uhaa became the new Intercontinental champion after winning the Nigerian Drum Fight against the champion Big E at Wrestlemania 37, WWE.

The Nigerian WWE superstar who hails from Benue state emerged victorious in the non-disqualification match.

Apollo who promoted his ancestral home in the middle belt area of Nigeria in the build up to the fight on SmackDown and Fast Lane, needed the help of an invader to emerge victorious.
