Popular Nollywood actress, Iyabo Ojo, has taken to social media to share her opinion on her colleague Baba Ijesha's case of defilement.

It was earlier reported that the Yoruba actor was caught on camera defiling a 14-year-old girl and that he had been committing the crime since the girl was 7-years-old.

In a video which she shared on her Instagram page, she specifically addressed her colleagues in the Yoruba movie industry and blasted those defending the actor.

Iyabo noted that she had seen posts from her colleagues on social media defending Baba Ijesha and urged them to stop.

She said that when people rush to defend prominent or popular people, it is hard for victims to speak up or come out.

The actress continued by saying that he was set up for evidence, and he fell for it because that is who he is, and judging him would not change anything.

Speaking further, Ojo said that while everyone is waiting for the court case and judgment, people shouldn't demand to see the CCTV footage on social media seeing as a minor was involved.

Reiterating that she is a mother, Iyabo revealed that she would never condone rubbish and would speak out against people who have been defending the actor.

To buttress her point, she said that if she or any of her biological/ foster kids are caught in the terrible act, they would face the full wrath of the law.

She lastly noted that she has nothing against Baba Ijesha, but she will always stand on the side of truth.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng previously reported that former House of Representatives member and actor Rotimi Makinde, lent his voice to his colleague Baba Ijesha's case of defilement.

Taking to his Facebook page to make a case for Baba Ijesha, Makinde said the actor deserved some benefit of the doubt until a court finds him guilty.

As expected, Nigerians took to his comment section to react to his post and many blasted him for making an excuse for the actor.
