Top Nigerian singer, 2baba Idibia, recently bared his mind about an issue on social whereby people mocked others who spoke poorly.
The music star in a Twitter post wondered why Africans laughed at people who could not speak proper English or did not have a fancy accent.
Tweeting further, he asked why they felt superior because they could speak English with an accent.
Interestingly, 2baba also admitted being guilty of the same act in the past and he expressed how terribly he felt about it.
In his words:
“Why do we as Africans laugh or look down at us that can't speak English proper or don't have the accent?
"Why do we feel superior because we can speak English with their accent?
"I have been guilty of this and I feel terrible now.”
