FG records 110 new cases of COVID-19 as death toll rises to 1,171

Nigeria has recorded 110 fresh cases of the novel coronavirus pandemic as Lagos state and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) had 26 and 23 respectively.

Legit.ng reports that the news was broken on Saturday, November 28, by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC).

Kaduna state recorded 20 cases while it was followed by Katsina state which has 11. Ogun state recorded 7 cases while Ekiti state recorded 6 cases.

The NCDC said that the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Nigeria now 67,330. A total number of 62,819 cases have been discharged while 1,171 deaths have been recorded.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng had previously reported that Nigeria recorded 143 cases of the novel coronavirus pandemic on Friday, November 20.

It was reported that the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) state recorded 22 cases while it was followed by Ogun state which has 11.

In another report, the Kogi House of Assembly called on state and federal ministries of health to unravel the cause of the ‘strange disease’ which has killed 50 persons in Olamaboro local government area of the state.

The House made the call at a plenary sitting in Lokoja following the adoption of a motion on urgent public importance, raised by Honourable Anthony Ujah over the strange illness that claimed over 50 lives.
