Olalekan Ponle, popularly called Woodberry, has employed the services of another top Chicago's lawyer, Michael Nash, to defend him in court, Premium Times reports.

Woodberry was arrested alongside Hushpuppi for alleged multi-million dollar fraud. The Nigerian big boy is currently held in the United States of America.

The 29-year-old seemed to have taken the footsteps of his partner in crime, Hushpuppi, who also employed the services of a top Chicago lawyer to defend him in court.

Woodberry is facing criminal accusations on wire fraud conspiracy at a United States District Court. His first appearance in court was on Friday, July 3, and the preliminary hearing was set for Thursday, July 16.

Meanwhile, Woodberry will be remanded in prison until further order of the court.

According to Super Lawyers, a website that provides details of excellent lawyers in the US, Michael Nash is one of the top-rated practising lawyers in Chicago. He was admitted to practice law in 1965 and graduated with distinctions.

Nash is an attorney who helps clients address Criminal Defense and White-Collar legal issues. He also assists clients regarding appellate issues and represents them in the Chicago area.

In other news, Legit.ng earlier reported that the FBI revealed how they tracked Woodberry through his iPhone, WhatsApp, and Bitcoin transactions.

He directed his victims in the US to open bank accounts in the names of the companies he scammed and then told his victims to send money to a bitcoin wallet that he owned and operated.

Findings showed that the scammer used the same mobile number to reach his victims, his WhatsApp chats with victims also revealed how he transacted with his victims and the bitcoin account showed that he asked different victims to send money to the same bitcoin account number on nine different occasions.
