Marriage is what comes after the beautiful wedding when people have partied and had their fill of the best dishes. Weddings are easy to organise but marriages are the hardest part.

Many in the entertainment industries around the world seem to suffer from a plague of bad marriages as their relationships do not seem to last long. Perhaps they have discovered that it is better to be single than be in an unhappy marriage.

Nollywood actress, Bimbo Akinsanya, got married on May 24, 2014, to the father of her child. However, the marriage packed up after just a year and a few months.

Nigerian lady says not all women want marriage from a relationship

In a new post on Instagram, the actress has finally opened up on why she left the union despite already having a newborn son.

According to Bimbo, she left the union because she did not want to die and because she wanted to protect her son. She added that she also quit the marriage because she did not want to become a murderer.

In her caption, she wrote: “I left that marriage when my son was just 3 months old you think it was easy to make that decision? No.

I left early cos I didn’t want to die, I left early cos I didn’t want to lose my child, I left early cos I didn’t want to be a murderer. (It’s a story for another day) I was married for a year & 4months & it was hellish.

Hello, DO NOT KILL ANOTHER PERSON’S CHILD all in the name of marriage. I am also a mother & I know how I am striving to train & feed my son. Please, don’t pray or wish for a mother to labour in vain oooo it must be AN EYE FOR AN EYE
