Jeff was born in the Abuja. He attended Shining Star Nursery and Primary School and later, Federal Government Boys College, Garki, Abuja. In 2010, Jeff and his brother, Fred took part in Glo Naija Sings when he was only 13. They finished off in the TOP 10. After that, he went to SAE Institute, Cape Town, where he graduated as a Sound Engineer. But he didn't quit singing.

Working hard on improving his voice and singing skills, Jeff finally achieved his dream.

"I was surprised when they announced my name as the winner. I just believed that I was favored. I can't explain how I felt because I was so tensed," he said.

Jeffrey Akoh made it at the MTN Project Fame when he was only 18 years old. It made him the youngest winner in the shows' history.

Since that, Jeff's popularity has grown, and his fan-base became wider. On the 27th of October 2017, Jeff released his first album Lokoja. Also, this day was special for the performer not only because of the album release, but it was his 21st birthday. It was such a fantastic gift to his fans and the best gift to himself. The great news is that Jeff has collaborated on a song with our very own Khalighraph Jones on the song, 'Halima.'

Other contestants also got prizes. Pearl Olanma Awa-Agwu (the 2nd place) received a car and 3 million Naira cash. Anderson Emmanuel Amos finished in the 3rd place. He also got a car and N1 million. In the 4th place was Adanoritsewo "Ada" Gold Tosanwumi, she received N1 million.
