- Boroffice claimed some people are planning to distract him from his job in the Senate

Senator Ajayi Boroffice, representing Ondo North senatorial district, has cried out over what he described as plans by some politicians to plant arms, ammunition and other illegal items in his house in Akure.

Boroffice, in a press statement issued by his media aide, Kayode Fakuyi, claimed that some people from the opposition are seriously plotting to distract him from the job of lawmaking in the Senate, Tribune reports.

The statement read: "Senator Ajayi Boroffice is in possession of credible information that some desperate politicians and their agents are plotting to plant arms, ammunition and other illegal items in his property in Akure. The ultimate target is to divert the focus of the senator from his political pursuits. Nevertheless, Senator Boroffice remains unshaken.

“It is instructive to note that Senator Boroffice has won elections in the past without recourse to violence or unorthodox means. Thus, the senator has no business with arms and ammunition. As a matter of fact, Senator Boroffice is a peace-loving Nigerian with no criminal record.

“Senator Boroffice will take necessary actions to brief President Muhammadu Buhari, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and other leaders of the All Progressives Congress on the ugly plot."
