Breaking: Accreditation of delegates for Ekiti APC guber begins under heavy security
Accreditation has started for statutory delegates for the rescheduled Ekiti state All Progressives Congress (APC) primary election amid heavy presence of security personnel, The Punch reports.
Legit.ng gathered that the number of armed policemen, operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS), Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) is presently more than the number of delegates that have arrived the venue so far.
The road leading to Damlek Event Centre at Oke-Ila area of Ado-Ekiti is cordoned off while security men frisk anyone entering into the area.

Some of the governorship aspirants sighted entering the event centre include: Opeyemi Bamidele; Ayo Arise and Gbenga Aluko.
In a previous report by Legit.ng, the National Working Committee NWC of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) rescheduled the governorship primary election in Ekiti state slated for Friday, May 11, to Saturday, May 12.
The party in a statement by its national publicity secretary, Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi, on Thursday, May 10, said: “The All Progressives Congress APC has rescheduled the Ekiti governorship primary election for Saturday May 12, 2018. Time: 8am prompt. This followed consultation between the APC National Working Committee NWC, aspirants and other stakeholders."
