She narrated that the clip was meant to show what had happened when her brother’s partner had come to their home and her mother had decided to assess the young lady's attitude towards domestic work.
According to the post, the mother had given the guest a large number of plates to wash and had also set her to complete several household chores.

The intention behind the arrangement, as shared by the lady identified as @favourite on TikTok, was to see whether the girl displayed the qualities of someone suitable for marriage.
In her words:
"POV my brother's girlfriend came to visit and my mum decided to test her patience with chores. See her nau. After you finish, I go buy food for you. I go help you pound pepper so you go cook. If my brother later decide say him no go marry her, we go just marry her for my mama na very sweet girl i don heal on her behalf."

In her words:
"I don't believe this is the right way to prove a woman's worth. A woman's worth is not tied to physical labour. There's more to marriage and relationships than house chores. A woman can be so hardworking but the marriage won't still last or be rosy. It should be the least of worries when something as serious as marriage is involved."
