- Governor Aminu Bello Masari has told the PDP that only someone from the moon can match President Buhari’s integrity
- He said the APC knows the weight, capability and the resourcefulness of all the candidates the opposition party is looking to present against Buhari
- Masari gave the assurance that the president is ready, and willing to confront the PDP’s candidates anytime, any day and anywhere
The executive governor of Katsina state, Aminu Masari, has said that no candidate from the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) can match the integrity of President Muhammadu Buhari.
He made the comments in an interview with Leadership, in response to the opposition party’s mobilisation to present a formidable candidate against the president in 2019.
Legit.ng notes that the governor said only someone from the moon would be able to match Buhari’s integrity. He also said the president was ready to confront the PDP, anytime, any day and anywhere.
In his words: “Well, unless someone is going to come out from the ground, of all the people we are seeing lining up in the PDP, they are characters known to Mr President and all of us.
“We know their weight, capability and the resourcefulness of all of them. Unless from the moon or from the ground, there is no one to match the integrity of Mr President.
“We are waiting for that miracle to happen; but if these characters that are jumping from pillars to post, fortune hunters or power hunters, if you are talking about those kind of people, I am not the spokesman of the president but I assure you that the president is ready, and willing to confront them anytime, any day and anywhere."
Meanwhile, Legit.ng previously reported that the amalgamated trade unions in Katsina state said it would purchase nominations forms for President Muhammadu Buhari and Governor Aminu Masari, to enable them re-contest in the 2019 general elections.
Ibrahim Dikko, the spokesperson of the unions, disclosed this when he led other members of the unions on a courtesy call to the governor at Government House, Katsina.
The group, which has 70 trade unions in the state, has branch chairmen and other officials in the 34 local government areas of the state.
