Agency apprehends Nigerian, 2 Brazilians in India with 2.650 litres of cocaine

- A Nigerian man has been arrested by the Indian Narcotics Control Bureau over drug-related offence

- The agency also arrested two Brazilians and seized condoms filled with liquid cocaine

- The suspects were arrested at a guest house in Paharganj area of central Delhi

A Nigerian man and two Brazilians have been arrested by the Indian Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) and condoms filled with liquid cocaine seized from the suspect.

The suspects were arrested at a guest house in the Paharganj area of central Delhi on April 16, by the anti-narcotics agency, Yabaleft reports.

Legit.ng notes that about 2.6 kgs of liquid cocaine, a party drug, was found concealed in condoms and kept in tin boxes by the Brazilian nationals and they were supposed to hand it over to the Nigerian.

Madho Singh, NCB zonal director, said:“The trafficking of liquid cocaine concealed in food stuff from South American countries to India is a new modus operandi being adopted by African syndicates to deceive the drug law enforcement officers."

Meanwhile, Legit.ng previously reported that five Nigerians were arrested in India for allegedly trafficking drugs including cocaine, brown sugar and amphetamine.

The suspects were arrested by the Rachakonda police in Hyderabad; and they were identified as Cosmas Ojukwu, 30; John Okorie, 26; Okereke Cyril Anezi, 31; John Paul Onyebuchi, 34 and Ogunka Henry Okechukwu, 31.

An Indian accomplice, Palaparthi Sangeetha, 35, was also arrested.
