Michigan, USA - United States President Donald Trump said the killing of four Americans at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Grand Blanc Township, Michigan, was an “attack on Christians.”
Legit.ng recalls that the gunman rammed his car into the church before opening fire on the churchgoers.

Trump said the attack appears to be yet another targeted attack on Christians in the United States.

President Trump said that, though the suspect is dead, there is still a lot to learn from the tragic attack at the church.
The US President called on fellow Americans to pray for the victims and their families.
He said the epidemic of violence in the United States must end.
“I have been briefed on the horrendous shooting that took place at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Grand Blanc, Michigan. The FBI was immediately on scene and will be leading the Federal Investigation and providing full support to State and Local Officials. The suspect is dead, but there is still a lot to learn. This appears to be yet another targeted attack on Christians in the United States of America. The Trump Administration will keep the Public posted, as we always do. In the meantime, PRAY for the victims and their families. THIS EPIDEMIC OF VIOLENCE IN OUR COUNTRY MUST END, IMMEDIATELY!”

According to the Independent UK, the local police chief, William Renye, said the suspected gunman was former U.S. Marine Thomas Jacob Sanford.
Renye said the 40-year-old Sanford was subsequently killed.
The suspect has been identified wearing a “Trump 2020” shirt in a photo posted to social media.

Gunmen kill church members during baptism ceremony
Recall that gunmen on motorbikes killed 22 villagers in western Niger, most of them attending a baptism ceremony in the troubled Tillaberi region.
The attack marks another deadly episode in an area plagued by jihadist violence linked to Al-Qaeda and the Islamic State group.
Human rights groups have condemned the killings and urged Niger’s military rulers to step up protection for civilians.
Herdsmen kill 10 worshippers in Benue
In a previous story, Legit.ng reported that no fewer than 10 worshippers were killed by armed herdsmen at Gbagir community in Ukum local government area of Benue state.
