Controversial Christian Broadcaster who Spreads COVID Misinformation Dies of Coronavirus
- Daystar Television Network, a famous Christian broadcast company has lost its founder and president, Marcus Lamb
- Lamb who was said to be against COVID-19 vaccines died on Tuesday, November 30, weeks after contracting the deadly virus
- According to the statement released by the network, the family requested that their privacy be respected as they grieve
A report by CBS News indicates that the president Daystar Television Network, Marcus Lamb has died at the age of 64.
The deceased who vocally opposed vaccines against COVID-19 died weeks after a battle with COVID-19, the network announced.

In the statement releasd by the family, the founder of the controversial, conservative outlet passed away on Tuesday, November 30, NBC News also added.
The son of the Christian broadcaster confirmed the news in a broadcast on Tuesday, saying his father died at around 4 a.m.

Lamb's daughter-in-law Joni admitted that the deceased had COVID pneumonia after he was diagnosed with COVID.
According to her, the 64-year-ol had pre-existing conditions including diabetes, however, Lamb kept it in check.
Nigeria records two cases of Omicron COVID variant
Legit.ng previously reported that the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) on Wednesday morning, December 1, confirmed the first case of the Omicron Covid variant in the country.
This was contained in a press statement issued by the NCDC boss, Dr Ifedayo Adetifa and seen by Legit.ng.
The statement reads in part:
“In line with the routine travel tests required of all international travellers, genomic sequencing at the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control through its National Reference Laboratory, Abuja, confirms Nigeria’s first case of the Omicron variant.
Omicron: We are monitoring situation, NCDC reveals
Recall that the NCDC had earlier revealed that there were no cases of the Omicron variant of the COVID-19 virus in the country as at Monday, November 29.
The NCDC also announced that the body with the Federal Ministry of Health was monitoring the situation of the virus.
The agency also noted that the rate of the spread of the Omicron variant makes it highly transmittable but added that, so far, claims that it is resistant to vaccines are not proven.
