Polish tennis player Kamil Majchrzak beat World no. 9 Karen Khachanov in a dramatic five-set battle to reach the third round of the US Open.

The win for Majchrzak, marks the biggest win of his career, with both players meeting for the fifth time in two years.

This was Majchrzak’s first-ever win over Khachanov, improving to 1-4 in their head-to-head.

What happened after the match?

After his match against World no 9, Majchrzak decided to stay on the court to sign autographs and towels.

The Polish decided to hand over his cap to a child, but a man standing nearby reached out and grabbed it, putting it inside his bag, per TVPWorld.

The emotional boy drew the attention of the tennis star and others present, but all proved abortive. Coincidentally, the video was captured and circulated on social media.

I have enough caps - Majchrzak

World No. 88, Kamil Majchrzak, vows to bring a smile to the young fan after an adult snatched his cap.

According to Sky News, the 29-year-old said he has enough caps to go around to his fans after the short drama.

The Polish international appealed to the general public to help him locate the young fan. He said:

"After the match, I didn't record that my cap didn't get to the boy.
"Thank you @asictennis, I've got enough caps, so i'm prepared for that.
"Hey guys, could you help me find the kid from my match. if it's you (or your parents see this), please send me a DM."

Tennis star stops cameraman from filming her

Legit.ng earlier reported that former world number 1 Iga Swiatek informed a cameraman not to film her while trying to change her clothes during the Cincinnati Open.
