Flick frustrated with Yamal's injury

Barcelona manager Hansi Flick expressed clear frustration over how Spain managed the teenager during the international break, BBC reports.

“Lamine will not be available against Valencia, which is a pity,” Flick told reporters.
“He played with the national team despite pain. He had problems, played 79 and 73 minutes, and didn’t even train between matches because of this pain. That is not really taking care of the players.”

Flick’s comments highlight a growing tension between club and country over how young stars are managed during busy schedules.

The injury comes just weeks after Yamal’s 18th birthday party made headlines across Spain, just days after dating rumours with a 24-year-old lady from Argentina.

Reports claimed the celebration took place aboard a private yacht and included an unusual set of requests made to invited guests, especially older women.

Spanish model Claudia Calvo alleged she was asked to help recruit a dozen women with specific physical features to attend the party.

She later said she declined because she was uncomfortable with the nature of the request, despite reports that the women were offered $17,500 and access to an exclusive credit card for the event.

The story fueled days of speculation about the young Barcelona star’s private life, with Yamal’s name trending on Spanish social media.

The timing of the injury means the attention surrounding him is unlikely to die down soon.
