CAF Online listed her as one of the youngsters to watch at the tournament, and she did not disappoint, helping her team with a record-extending 10th title.

She returned to the United States after an extended holiday in Nigeria, during which she hung out with Asisat Oshoala and Oluwatosin Demehin.

Abiodun, on return to the US, was recalled to Washington Spirits after a short loan spell at Dallas Trinity and made her NWSL debut against Chicago Stars on September 1, 2025.

Deborah Abiodun meets iShowSpeed

As seen in a video shared on X, the midfielder met with popular American streamer iShowSpeed, whose real name is Darren Watkins Jr.

Abiodun asked Speed if he had been to Nigeria, which he had not, and she challenged him to a ball juggling contest, which, if she wins, he has to come to Nigeria.

The Ronaldo fanboy claimed that the challenge was void because he had a trip to Nigeria planned before the end of the year, with Lagos certainly his first point of call.

Expectedly, the footballer won the challenge, beating the streamers 15, before both exchanged pleasantries and parted ways. She earned credits from fans for putting Nigeria first in her discussion with Speed.
