Galatasaray forward Victor Osimhen has reportedly contacted a defender of Nigerian descent to join him at the Turkish club this summer.
Osimhen joined Galatasaray permanently this summer after spending last season on loan and helped the club win the Turkish Super League and Ziraat Cup double.
The Turkish champions have also signed Leroy Sane to bolster their attack and to help them compete after qualifying for the UEFA Champions League.

Galatasaray are not relenting in the market and also intend to strengthen other key positions, including signing a centre-back and a goalkeeper after Fernando Muslera’s exit.
Victor Osimhen phoned Galatasaray target
The club is targeting Manchester City defender Manuel Akanji as a priority centre-back signing, as they want to compete on all fronts this season.

They have contacted the English club, but details have yet to emerge on whether the Citizens would be willing to sell the defender they signed for £17 million in 2022.
Another report suggested that Pep Guardiola’s side has named an asking price of £18 million, which could be deemed too high by the Turkish club.
According to Inside Futbol, Victor Osimhen has contacted his compatriot, advising him to make the switch to the Turkish Super League.
The Swiss defender of Nigerian heritage is keen on the move in search of playing time in a bid to make Switzerland's squad for next year, and this could convince him to make the move.
Galatasaray interested in Ederson
Akanji is not the only Manchester City star Galatasaray have expressed interest in signing; they have also sounded out goalkeeper Ederson.

The Brazilian is open to moving to Turkey as he had previously attempted to join Saudi Pro League side Al-Nassr last season, but eventually stayed.
Galatasaray's offer to Manchester City is way below their valuation of the goalkeeper, but negotiations continue, and the deal is expected to be completed.
According to the London Evening Standard, the Lions will turn their attention to Gianluigi Donnarumma, who has been told he can leave Paris Saint-Germain.
However, the Italian costs more than the Brazilian and is Manchester City’s target to replace their long-serving goalkeeper if he leaves the Etihad Stadium.
The former AC Milan goalkeeper’s agent confirmed they his client would prefer a move to England, thus ruling Galatasaray out of the race, but City face competition from Manchester United.
Osimhen promised his teammate dinner
Legit.ng previously reported that Osimhen promised Galatasaray teammate Gabriel Sara a dinner at a fancy restaurant if he scored a free kick in training.
The Super Eagles star set up a wall of himself and other big guys in the team, forcing the Brazilian to miss the kick and ultimately lose the reward.
