Kano state - Hon. Abubakar Kabiru Abubakar Bichi, representing Bichi Federal Constituency, has been commended for his prominent role in rallying stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) behind the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in 2027.

A prominent APC support group on the platform of the Progressive Foundation Movement (PFM) said Hon. Bichi can be trusted as a reliable ally of President Tinubu ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The group consists of prominent members of legacy parties that formed the APC.

This is coming after the Kano State APC stakeholders declared their unalloyed support for President Tinubu’s re-election in Abuja on Thursday, September 2

The meeting was attended by former Kano state governor and immediate-past APC National Chairman, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, the Deputy Senate President, Senator Barau Jibrin, and other prominent personalities.

The National Coordinator of PFM, Hon. Olaniyi Olawale, disclosed this in a statement issued and made available to Legit.ng on Friday, September 26, 2025.

Olawale said Hon Bichi was commended for his passion, commitment, and investment in ensuring that Kano state APC stakeholders are united and queue behind President Tinubu.

The Movement also acknowledged Hon. Bichi's grassroots mobilization in Kano, which has continued to endear President Tinubu to the hearts of the people of Nigeria's most populous state.
"We are highly impressed by the impact Hon. Abubakar Kabiru Abubakar Bichi's grassroots mobilization has continued to have on the people of his constituency and Kano State at large. No wonder he was able to convince critical stakeholders at the just concluded meeting in Abuja, where all the leaders of APC in Kano State declared their continued support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's second term aspiration.

"We acknowledge and commend your unflinching passion and commitment to promoting and rallying support for Mr. President ahead of the 2027 general elections."

Tinubu told to suspend and probe Wike

Recall that a former APC spokesperson, Timi Frank, urged President Tinubu to suspend FCT Minister Nyesom Wike over alleged US property scandal involving his family.

Frank criticised Tinubu’s silence, saying selective justice and political shielding damage public trust and may be linked to 2027 election interests.

He called for an independent probe, warning that shielding Wike while suspending others like Betta Edu undermines Nigeria’s anti-corruption fight.

'Why every northerner owes Tinubu vote

In a previous story, Legit.ng reported that APC's Habibu Mayana Bello drummed up support for President Tinubu’s re-election in 2027.

Bello, a prominent X user (formerly Twitter) with over 33,000 followers, is a staunch supporter of President Tinubu.

The APC stalwart endorsed Tinubu for the 2027 presidential election, stating that "it is time" for northerners to compensate the incumbent Nigerian leader.
