Politics and governance internship opens application portal
According to Isreal, the application portal for the APC Youth Internship Programme opened on Friday, 12 September, and will remain accessible until Friday, 19 September 2025.
The programme is targeted at individuals passionate about public service and youth development.
“For individuals with a passion for politics, governance, and youth empowerment,” the statement read.
The APC Youth Wing stated that the internship would serve as a strategic platform for participants to engage directly with policymakers and youth leaders, while also developing leadership and professional competencies.
“Gain hands-on experience, build leadership and professional skills, and also network with policymakers and youth leaders,” it stated.
Youth empowerment and national development at the core
The programme is open to dynamic and committed young Nigerians who are eager to contribute meaningfully to youth empowerment and national development.
Organisers emphasised that the internship is not only a learning opportunity but also a chance to build valuable networks within the political and governance space.
Interns who demonstrate dedication throughout the programme will be recognised with formal credentials.
“Certificate and recommendation (for interns who show commitment) on completion,” the Youth Wing confirmed.
Interested applicants have been directed to submit their applications via the official portal at https://bit.ly/apcyouthintern.
The APC Youth Wing’s move has been seen as part of a broader effort to foster youth inclusion in governance and to cultivate the next generation of political leaders in Nigeria.
APC announces Tinubu’s minister as national chairman
Legit.ng earlier reported that the National Executive Committee (NEC) of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has officially announced Nentawe Yilwatda as the new National Chairman of the ruling party.
The confirmation came after a closed-door NEC meeting held in Abuja on Thursday, July 24, where party leaders unanimously ratified his nomination through consensus.
Yilwatda, a former governorship candidate of the APC in Plateau State and an academic-turned-politician, succeeds Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, who resigned recently due to health concerns.
