What is APC?

The All Progressives Congress (APC) is one of Nigeria’s leading political parties, formed on 6 February 2013 through a merger of major opposition groups including the ACN, CPC, and ANPP.

It emerged as a formidable force in Nigerian politics, winning the presidency in 2015 with Muhammadu Buhari and again in 2023 with Bola Tinubu. The party promotes a centre-right ideology, focusing on federalism, social conservatism, and anti-corruption reforms.

Headquartered in Abuja, APC holds significant representation across Nigeria’s legislative and executive branches. It continues to shape national discourse through its policies and youth-focused initiatives like the newly launched internship programme.
