Scores of APC members defect to ADC in Sokoto State

Idris said the report is nothing more than an attempt to mislead the public.

As reported by The Nation, he made this known in a statement issued on Monday, August 25, 2025.

“The statement in question was signed by one Mr. Darius Kurah, a person who is neither a member of the ADC nor an official of our Party at any level. His self-appointed title of "Publicity Secretary of the Coalition" is fraudulent and constitutes Political impersonation. The only authentic and constitutionally recognized Publicity Secretary of the ADC in Kaduna State is Engr. Idris Musa.
“It is also important to clarify that the comment credited to our Kaduna State Chairman, Elder Patrick D. Ambut, was taken out of context. The Chairman only attended a meeting he was invited to, to review the last bye-election, not to endorse any claim of SDP structures, collapsing into ADC. He has never authorized such pronouncements. Elder Ambut, as a democrat, will surely welcome SDP members into the coalition when they choose to come properly and through the laid-down procedures.”
