Bago lambasted some members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) who have either defected to other party.
The governor labelled them ungrateful, stating that they left the party because they are on sabbatical after serving for 8 years.
“Why are people from this part of the country trying to bring issues? Especially the children of the APC? You have eaten from APC. APC is what you are. Some of you were governors, ministers, advisers, and commissioners, and you dwelt for eight years.
“Now, you are on sabbatical and have decided to come together to distort a government."
“Why north should Support Tinubu’s 2027 re-election bid”
The chief of staff to the president, Femi Gbajabiamila, made a major move to gather support for Tinubu's re-election bid.
Gbajabiamila met with political leaders in northern Nigeria, particularly ex-legislators, and explained why Tinubu should be voted into power for a second term in office.
Legit.ng reported that Gbajabiamila made this move after Reno Omokri urged northern elites to support Tinubu's second-term agenda and issued a warning.
Omokri to north: "Tinubu deserves 2nd term"
Similarly, Legit.ng previously reported that a former presidential aide, Reno Omokri, urged the northern elites to allow President Tinubu to complete his eight years (two-term) in office for the unity and stability of Nigeria.
Ahead of the 2027 elections, Omokri reminded the north, whom he described as Mutanen Arewa, of how they ganged up and denied the then-president Goodluck Jonathan a second term in 2015, which affected the foundation of Nigeria's unity.
"In the interest of Nigeria's unity and stability, arewa should allow President Tinubu complete his two four year terms."
