2023 Presidency: Group Vows To Drag Tinubu To Court, Gives Reasons

Osun -A group has vowed to drag the national leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu, to court should he fail to contest for the presidency in the 2023 general election.

The group, Tinubu Support Organisation (TSO) said it was issuing the threat on the APC leader because he is the right man for the job who would bring Nigeria to the desired development process.

Vanguard reports that the director-general of TSO, Aminu Sulaiman while speaking at the inauguration of the organisation in Osun state said his team would compel the former governor of Lagos state to contest for the 2023 presidential election.

Tinubu's failure to run for 2023 presidency a disservice to Nigerians

Sulaiman said Tinubu's refusal to run for the presidency in 2023 would be a disservice to Nigerians home and abroad.

He said

“We will take him to court if Asiwaju refuses to contest because we can’t have someone like him and he won’t answer our call."
“He must contest. We will take him to court to force him into the race."

Also speaking, the governor of Osun state, Adegboyega Oyetola, commended the TSO for identifying true leadership qualities in Tinubu.

Oyetola who was represented by the Oyo state's secretary to the state government, Wole Oyebamiji, said Tinubu is a genuine lover of Nigeria.

Why Tinubu should be mandated to run for presidency in 2023

He said with Tinubu's track record of sacrificing his all for Nigeria during the days of NADECO, there is no doubt that he is the right person for the job.

He also he described the APC's national leader as a bridge-builder who can be trusted with any leadership position.

He said Tinubu as a former governor has all it takes to fix Nigeria and make it a better place for all and sundry.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng previously reported that Tinubu upon his arrival from London had visited President Muhammadu Buhari at the Presidential Villa in Aso Rock, Abuja.

The pictures of Tinubu's visit to the president was shared on the Facebook page of President Buhari.

Tinubu's meeting followed his return from a knee surgery in London where he spent some time recovering after the surgery.

In other news, a group had condemned the silence of Tinubu after the invasion of the residence of a Supreme Court justice, Mary Odili.

South-west Frontiers also queried the silence of Tinubu over the incident in Ikoyi area of Lagos where a 21-storey building collapsed leading to the death of over 40 Nigerians.

However, days after the statement by the South-west Frontiers, the APC national leader visited the site of the collapse.
