How Anambra People Can Reward Buhari For His Good Deeds, APC Chieftain Reveals

A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress in Anambra state, Sam Nwosu, has called on the people of the state to show their love to President Muhammadu Buhari at the forthcoming governorship election by ensuring the party wins.

The Nation reports that Nwosu said President Buhari's led administration has done well for the Anambra people and the southeast region as a whole and deserves to be rewarded.

Achievements of Buhari in the southeast

Nwosu listing some of the achievements of President Buhari in the region said there is no doubt that there is room for improvement.

He said:

"l believe the administration has done relatively well. But, there is room for improvement."

He added that in terms of infrastructural development, the present administration has ensured that all regions benefit from projects.

Nwosu added:

"By the way, the bridge does not belong to the people of the Southeast or the Southsouth; it is a Nigerian bridge."

According to the APC chieftain, previous administrations had kept giving the impression that they were doing a favour to the people of the southeast region by promising to complete the project.

He said:

"The president has vowed to complete the bridge and make it usable before he leaves office in 2023 and I believe he will achieve the feat as promised."

Security and other challenges in the region

He said while it is a well-known fact that the administration inherited huge security challenges, which has festered in the last six years, the president has done everything possible to curtail the activities of criminal and terrorists alike.

Nwosu said:

"Unfortunately, the impression being created is that it is doing nothing to protect the populace and that’s not true. No government will sit back and allow the country it governs to go hey-wire."

Meanwhile, Legit.ng previously reported that the deputy governor of Anambra state had defected from the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) to the APC.

Nkem Okeke was said to the defected to the party a few months to the end of his tenure as Governor Willie Obiano's deputy.

He was later received by President Muhammadu Buhari at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, Nigeria's capital city.
