According to Alex Onyia, who shared the result, the boy will not be able to use it to gain admission. He said the buy is currently less than 16 years, noting that he also scored 341 in the 2025 UTME.
Alex said:
"The owner of this result is just 15 years and 4 months old. He scored 341 in JAMB. Unfortunately, he will not be allowed to gain admission into any Nigerian university because of his age. Should we support him to leave the country?"

Reactions to boy's WAEC result

"Which country are you referring to? In the UK, a student must have A-levels or an equivalent qualification, and JAMB is not considered equivalent. It’s unlikely a 16-year-old Nigerian student would gain university admission in the UK or US solely with JAMB, though it’s possible in rare cases with exceptional academic records or additional qualifications (e.g., A-levels, IB, or a foundation program). While it’s uncommon, it’s not unheard of for a 16-year-old to be admitted to a university in the UK or US, especially if they demonstrate outstanding ability."

"So, why would the JAMB Registration Portal allow him to successfully complete his registration And even if he completed his registration, why wouldn't JAMB disqualify him straight-away? Why would they assign him to any examination center?"

"Nigeria will always find a way to limit you. There's barely any advantage of being a Nigerian."

"No, we should fight the government to change that stupid law, we can't keep accepting stupidity in Nigeria, we are not slaves. Who will sponsor all the other 15 Brilliant years Olds?"
@NaijadentistNG said:
"He can actually gain admission into any university of his choice in Nigeria. He'll only have to defer for a year before his academic journey takes effect."

"At the end of the day, most employers will require you to have at least 3 years of working experience and not more than 26 years old."
