According to Raye, she stopped going to church after realising that her family is not cursed.
She said she discovered that there is no generational curse following her family.
She said:
"I stopped going to church for night vigils, deliverance and so on because of this. (I still attend mass, praise and worship FYI) Your village people haven’t won, and your family isn’t cursed. You live in a country where it is 5x harder for young people to achieve their goals. There is nothing wrong with you; you are not a failure."
Raye said many people are struggling in the country, not because they are lazy or failures, but because the environment is hard.
Her word:
"You are simply a product of a struggling economy! Listen to this and let it resound in your brain and every time you think you are cursed, that’s why you aren’t making progress! And don't get me wrong, I'm still a Christian girlie."

"She’s right. Struggling to survive isn’t about curses or spirits - it’s about policies, opportunities, and an economy that works for the people. Blaming the supernatural distracts from holding those in power accountable."

"Going to church isn't the same as serving God rightly all of you bashing her cause of her own choice is also the same reason so many people don't go to church because all what you guys do is judge and play God on earth."

"That's the mistake we make. The first essence of church is fellowship and not where we go to solve problems. We go to church because we love God first and want to be among fellow believers. Then every other thing shall be added. She has been thought a different gospel."

"As a young Nigerian youth living in Nigeria, your chances of achieving your goals and full potential will increase by over 80% once you stop going to church to listen to these pulpit hustlers taking advantage of the conditions their political class friends have put you in."
