"Someone finally said it. Nigeria is not the same you left it. The situation there right now is like no amount you save will be enough! The inflation is crazy! Starting up a business is not even the issue, maintaining the business is a big challenge! Not much profit coming in! Visit home, yes, invest in landed properties, visit as often as you can. Then maybe retire home in the future when you’re substantially ready. It's not easy, May God help everyone in diaspora."

Man relocates home after 30 years overseas

Meanwhile, Legit.ng previously reported that a man who lived abroad for 30 years had relocated home with just N2.9 million and was unable to complete his house.

He was living in the UK with his wife, who worked as a lecturer. They both worked hard and bought some properties.

However, he said they later sold the properties they bought around 2007 due to the global financial meltdown that happened then. After 30 years of living in the UK, they decided to return home. When they were coming home, they had only £1500 (N2.9 million).
