"TPS stands for: “Temporary Protection Status” and is a protection for people that come from certain countries in crisis (not that many countries). This permit allows you to stay legally and work but not for any other benefit, without the possibility to get the citizenship through this permit. To clarify if you have TPS you are ALLOWED to STAY LEGALLY in the US."

Woman deports herself from US
Meanwhile, Legit.ng previously reported that a woman who had lived in America for 36 years had deported herself to Mexico.
In what is called self-deportation, the woman named Regina Higuera left America voluntarily due to fear of being harassed, arrested or detained by the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).
Regina's work permit had expired years ago, and she lacked the money to renew it. She made the difficult decision to leave the US to protect her children. She left by crossing the border and then flew into Mexico City through the TIJ International Airport.
