Comfort was filmed slapping an air hostess on the plane and resisting arrest from the airport security that confronted her at the Lagos airport in videos that emerged.

The videos showed how the passenger struggled with aviation security and ground officials who tried to disembark her from the plane.

Comfort Emmanson’s lawyer speaks on suing Ibom Air

A statement by the airline revealed that the drama started when Comfort refused to turn off her phone as instructed by the air hostess.

Shortly after the news went viral, it was reported that Comfort was remanded in Kirikiri prison after being charged in court.

However, she was released on Wednesday and Comfort broke her silence since the incident.

Speaking with Channels Television on Thursday, Emmanson’s lawyer, Adefunke, said Comfort had yet to decide if she would sue the airline.

The lawyer said:

"On the way forward, whether Comfort will allow the sleeping dogs lie, she will inform us, we can’t disclose that online.
She is a full-grown adult. If she is going to press civil charges for compensation, she will let us know. But for now, we can’t decide for her. She will revert. For now, she just needs to rest, put herself together.”

Comfort Emmanson's lawyer speaks on her current state

After Comfort's release on Wednesday, she mentioned that she was still in pain and needed medical treatment before sharing her story.

Speaking on Thursday, Adefunke stated that Comfort was in good shape but just needed to rest."

She said:

"When she was brought in yesterday, she was tired and weak. But we thank God now, she's in good spirits. Having gone home and rested well, I believe she will be fine."

Past Ibom Air passengers share experiences

Meanwhile, Legit.ng previously reported that passengers of Ibom Air shared what they experienced with air hostesses while on board.

A lady, Benita Ezinne Ibeh, shared her encounter with the air hostess involved in the viral Comfort Emmanson case. She shared how the air hostess behaved towards her, describing the airline worker as rude.

Another man mentioned what the air hostess said about him after he inquired about something when he was on an Ibom Air flight.
