HOC Capital Club has inducted renowned legal practitioner and Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Chief Wole Olanipekun, CFR, as President of its Council of Chairmen and Grand Patron.

Ibori calls for investment in younger generation
Former Delta State Governor, Chief James Ibori, was among prominent personalities at the ceremony, where he emphasised the need for deliberate empowerment of emerging leaders.
He said sustainable national development depends on mentorship, knowledge transfer and access to opportunities for younger entrepreneurs, professionals and policymakers.
Ibori commended HOC Capital Club for providing a platform that promotes intergenerational collaboration and leadership growth.
Founder highlights vision behind the club
Founder and Chairman of HOC Capital Club, Olufemi Badejo, described the induction as a defining moment in the organisation’s journey.
“When we conceived HOC Capital Club, we envisioned more than a private members’ club. We envisioned a platform where global connectivity, economic collaboration, and leadership development could thrive. In Chief Wole Olanipekun, we found the ideal leader to help guide that vision,” Badejo said.
He added that Olanipekun once encouraged him with the words: “Go and build it.”
In his acceptance remarks, Chief Olanipekun stressed the importance of mentoring younger generations and preparing them for leadership responsibilities.
He described leadership as “passing the ball” and likened nation-building to a relay race where knowledge and responsibility must be carefully transferred to ensure continuity.
