Tinubu's Second Term Is a Done Deal in Jigawa - Gumel

  • APC leaders and stakeholders in Jigawa state have declared President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s 2027 re-election bid a “done deal”

Stakeholders of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Jigawa state have declared the second term bid of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in 2027 "a done deal."

The resolution to this effect was reached at Dutse, the state capital during the handing over of Renewed Hope Sensitisation office donated by a member of the party's National Working Committee (NWC) and national financial secretary, Honourable Bashir Gumel.

Tinubu's Jigawa loyalists to begin sensitisation

In a statement released Tuesday in Abuja and signed by Honourable Zakari Alhaji Sidi Kafinhausa, the Personal Assistant to Gumel, said the need to properly documented the various monumental projects and progammes of President Tinubu in the state and enlightening the people informed the donation of the APC office complex.

Quoting Gumel addressing a mammoth crowd of party loyalists and supporters in Dutse, Kafinhausa said, the NWC member promised to empower the office to effectively collate the renewed hope agenda projects and programmes of President with the sole aim of enlightening the people of the state ahead of the 2027 general election.

Gumel said with the massive adoption of the president across the six geopolitical zones, stakeholders in Jigawa State can not sit behind but join the moving train.

His words:

"The formal opening of this office, which is dedicated to Renewed Hope Sensitization Forum, is to serve as a channel of creating public awareness about the various initiatives of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR. This office is a testament of our resolve in Jigawa State to join all other well-meaning Nigerians to ensure that the President continues the good works he started in 2023 in fixing the country.

"As a supportive and loyal party member, I Bashir Usman Gumel, a member of NWC and National Financial Secretary of our great party, hereby handover this office to Renewed Hope Sensitization Forum, in appreciation of Tinubu's style of leadership and ongoing developmental projects throughout Jigawa State and Nigeria at large.
"As we all know, Jigawa is one of the states delivered to All Progressives Congress during 2023 presidential election under the leadership of Muhammad Badaru Abubakar, Honourable Minister of Defence. This gathering, under his leadership, will continue to support Tinubu's reforms and deliver the state once again come 2027."

The event had in attendance members of the state House of Assembly, former Speaker of the assembly, Rt. Hon. Idris Garba Kareka, and Hon. Abubakar Jallo.

Other stakeholders at the were past local government chairmen, led by the former ALGON chairman, Hon. Bala Usman Chamo, Hon. Zakari Kafinhausa, former aides and advisors to former Gov. Badaru Abubakar (former Jigawa State Governor) and representatives of many APC support groups.

APC wins at suspended Fubara’s local government

Earlier, Legit.ng reported that the All Progressives Congress (APC) secured victory in the chairmanship election held in Opobo/Nkoro Local Government Area of Rivers State, the home council of suspended Governor Siminalayi Fubara.

Barrister James A. James, the APC candidate, was declared winner of Saturday’s poll by the Rivers State Independent Electoral Commission (RSIEC).
