The book titled, 'Postpartum and Beyond' was unveiled at the birthday of Dr. Sandra along with her twin sister, Sophia Nkem Uzodinma.

The book she said focuses on the critical issues surrounding postpartum and maternal health particularly in the African context.
The literary work is a combination of her expertise as a healthcare professional and personal narratives, aiming to raise advocacy for improved maternal health practices especially in Africa.
She shares real- life accounts from mothers, illustrating the diverse challenges the face and the resilience they demonstrate.
She equally examines how religious beliefs shape attitudes towards postpartum care, advocating for a holistic approach that bridges faith and medical practices.
In a discussion panel, moderated by a renowned broadcaster and gender inclusivity advocate, Dr. Adaora Sydney Jack, the panelists unanimously agreed that postpartum depression is a topic and an issue that has been neglected by the African society.
They attributed it complexities, lack of advocacy, cultural misinformations and a whole lot more. They lauded courage, resilience, intelligence and will power of the author, Dr. Sandra Uzodimma.
According to the author, the book was borne out of her inquisitivity and intentional quest to create awareness for women, especially in the rural areas who may not have a strong, mental, psychological and financial support base to deal with postpartum depression.

"This book is borne out of my personal experiences, which shaped my perspectives and my quest for awareness creation to help women who are undergoing postpartum depression.
"I also understood that society struggles with postpartum depression as a whole especially in African context, we don't really talk about it and that is why we want to start a conversation in that aspect, we also help women in difficult situations through our mom for boys foundation.
She called on all stakeholders to join hands in this advocacy.
Her twin sister, Sophia Nkem Uzodinma who is the founder of a non-governmental organisation, VOWE Foundation and host of the CURVE fashion runway show which was also exquisitely launched said the book aims at providing support for women and families in most difficult situations and empower’s them.
The highlight of the occasion was cutting of birthday cake by the celebrants flanked by their father Sen. Hope Uzodinma and his wife Dr. Barr. Chioma Uzodinma, dignitaries family and friends of the Twins.
