Popular Nollywood actress Funke Akindele has openly sent a message to Iyabo Ojo after the latter openly blamed Toyin Abraham over the drama that unfolded during the premiere of The Return of Arinzo.

The premiere, which was star‑studded and filled with viral moments, became controversial when Funke Akindele publicly snubbed Toyin Abraham’s greeting.

In response, Toyin unfollowed Funke on Instagram and vowed never to greet her again.

Iyabo Ojo, who was criticised for inviting both actresses despite their strained relationship, later addressed the incident on Instagram.

She disclosed that Toyin Abraham had violated a peace agreement she had with Funke Akindele, sparking backlash from Toyin’s fans who accused Iyabo of taking sides.

Amid the tension, Funke Akindele appeared to gain the upper hand as she joined Iyabo Ojo in promoting The Return of Arinzo. In a joint Instagram post, Funke wrote:

“We are so excited about THE RETURN OF ARINZO!!!! Can’t wait to see you all at the cinemas from tomorrow, April 3rd!!!!! You will love it!!! #thereturnofarinzo will start showing in all cinemas nationwide on April 3rd!!! Congratulations @iyaboojofespris 💃💃💃.”

Meanwhile, Toyin Abraham has yet to post about Iyabo Ojo’s movie. Instead, she is focused on promoting her own YouTube project,*Love Between Two Altars, which will premiere on April 7, 2026.

She urged her fans, known as ToyinTitans, to stay united and concentrate on her upcoming release.

With The Return of Arinzo hitting cinemas nationwide on April 3, the Nollywood spotlight remains firmly on the unfolding drama between three of its biggest stars.

Toyin Abraham advises Timini Egbuson

Earlier, Legit.ng reported that Toyin Abraham opened up about how her support for President Bola Tinubu affected her personal life and career.

She advised actor Timini Egbuson to stay away from politics, noting that her experience had serious consequences on her work.
