Nollywood actress Dayo Amusa has publicly shared her updated HIV screening result dated 15th September 2025, amid accusations that she is a carrier.

Taking to her official social media page, Amusa posted a heartfelt message as she strongly encouraged everyone to take charge of their health by getting tested for HIV.

Legit.ng earlier reported that a content creator accused the movie star of being a carrier, which was later resolved amicably.

In the statement, Amusa emphasised the many benefits of knowing one’s HIV status.

She spoke on early treatment, peace of mind, prevention of transmission (especially from mother to child), and how awareness can reduce stigma and discrimination.

The actress also pointed out that testing protects not only the individual but also those close to them.

Her post read in part:

“I still feel the need to encourage individuals to get tested and to know their HIV status,” she wrote.
“It is better to know your status, so you can guide yourself and save others, too. You don’t have to die before death comes.
“Preventing transmission helps reduce the spread of HIV within the community," she added, "and knowing your status can alleviate anxiety and provide a sense of control over your health.”
