Ijeoma Josephina Otabor, popularly known as Phyna, has reportedly been hospitalised.

The BBNaija star and reality TV winner was recently captured in a viral photo lying weak on what appeared to be a hospital bed.

The development comes at a turbulent time in her life, as she remains entangled in a bitter public exchange with controversial critic, VeryDarkMan.

Phyna has been at the forefront of a heated justice campaign since her younger sister, Ruth, was involved in a tragic accident with a Dangote truck on August 13, 2025.

VDM had accused the reality star of demanding ₦1bn in compensation from the Dangote Group while insisting that her family deserved accountability.

He further accused her of making the case about money and neglecting the biker who was also injured in the crash. Phyna, in turn, branded him a manipulator and a liar.

In the middle of this storm, Instagram blog @lifeafterbbnaija dropped a bombshell. The platform shared an image of Phyna on what looked like a hospital bed, with the emotional caption:

“Please pray for Phyna, she is not strong, she is human! The person fighting up and down for her sister Ruth’s survival in this cruel world is also hospitalised. You guys should cut her some slacks. It’s not easy at all.”

VDM reveals conditions for helping people after Phyna's drama

Meanwhile, Legit.ng reported that VeryDarkMan expressed disappointment over Phyna Otabor’s alleged betrayal, despite her denial.

In response, he introduced new rules of engagement, stating that anybody who comes to him for help must be straightforward.
