Nigerian singer Skales appears to have moved on from his troubled marriage as he proudly showed off his new lover on Instagram.
On Friday, August 23, the music star celebrated model Shauney Monae, describing her in glowing terms as his “favourite song and guiding light.”
In a post, the singer praised her for teaching him how to live and for loving him in ways he never imagined.

"The way you love, the way you care, the way you teach me how to live. So here's to you, the one I adore, my heart, my muse, my greatest friend."
Skales' marriage fallout
The revelation comes nearly two years after Skales’ marriage to Precious Raoul went from a blissful union to a highly publicised conflict.
The couple, who tied the knot in September 2021, had initially appeared to be deeply in love. On their first wedding anniversary in September 2022, Skales had gushed about how marriage was the “greatest blessing” of his life.
However, by November 2022, things took a bitter turn.
The singer accused Precious of neglecting his late mother, going as far as to call her a “devil.” He even released a diss track aimed at her while she was pregnant with their daughter.
Surprisingly, just a few months later, in March 2023, Skales publicly apologised, celebrated Precious’ birthday, and promised to “do better.”

Skales meets Barcelona players in Spain
Legit.ng, meanwhile, earlier reported that Skales met with players of Barcelona after the final of the 2025 Copa Del Rey.
The Nigerian star shared a clip of himself with Yamal and Alejandro Balde before going on to perform the song at Barcelona's celebration party.
Skales, whose song, Shake Body, has been trending after Spanish internationals Lamine Yamal, Nico Williams, and Samu Omorodion celebrated their win over the Netherlands with a lively dance to it.
