According to him, he was in Sweden when officers stormed his associates, picking up Zinoleesky, Subomi, and eventually Mohbad.

He narrated how Mohbad got into a physical altercation with NDLEA operatives before being taken into custody.

He stated:

“On February 24, 2022, the NDLEA incident happened. I was in Sweden that day. They took Zino and Subomi. Mohbad eventually joined them, had a physical altercation with the officers, and they took him along."

The singer explained that after Mohbad was released, he went live on Instagram, allegedly under duress, during a panic attack.

It was during this episode that Mohbad accused him and others of endangering his life.

Naira Marley further claimed that after rushing back to Nigeria, he visited Mohbad in the hospital. According to him, Mohbad’s behavior raised eyebrows.

He stated:

“At the hospital, I saw Wunmi, Adura, and Bode, Mohbad’s cousin. I then heard that Wunmi was the last person in the room with him before he ran out and went live."

Shifting attention to money matters, Marley dismissed claims that he exploited the late rapper financially.

He explained that he personally encouraged Mohbad to open a bank account in his own name, rather than relying on one linked to his in-law.

The rapper stressed:

“When Mohbad got to my place, I told him I wasn’t comfortable sending money to the Olajumoke account. On July 28, 2021, he sent me his own personal account. Our contract was smooth, everything was 50-50. I never cheated him."
