Nigerian singer Ololade Ahmed, better known as Asake or Mr Money, is trending over his performance at Afro Future 2025 in Detroit, US.

On Sunday, August 17, videos and pictures from Asake's live performance at the music concert emerged on the Nigerian social media space.

Asake grabbed both of his nominations in the Best Afrobeats category. One for Active, featuring Travis Scott, and another for Get It Right, his duet with Tems.

Reactions trail Asake's new hairstyle

The former YBNL star's wig has stirred reactions from Nigerians as some pointed out the similarity between it and the hairstyle Davido's wife, Chioma, rocked at their lavish white wedding in Miami.

Others, however, expressed concern about the singer's mental health.

Asake meets Michèle Lamy

Meanwhile, Legit.ng reported that Asake made headlines over his meeting with Michèle Lamy, a renowned French culture and fashion figure.

The picture which went viral, stirred up conspiracy theories, as some Nigerians claim Asake's meeting with Michèle was an indication that he had joined the Illuminati.

"Asake has finally kissed the ring of Hollywood. I just hope it pays off and brings him true fulfillment in the long run," a Nigerian said.
