Trump unveiled the sneakers at Sneaker Con in Philadelphia, where he called them the 'NEVER SURRENDER HIGH-TOP SNEAKER'.

He said he had been planning to launch them for over a decade and expected them to be a big success.

“This is something I’ve been talking about for 12 years, 13 years, and I think it’s going to be a big success,” Trump said.

According to Forbes, the sneakers were sold online for $399K per pair (N700m) and were quickly sold out.

The website where they were listed offered only 1000 pairs and limited the buyers to three pairs each.

The website also had two other variants of the sneakers, with the letter T and the number 45 on the sides, representing his presidency.

One had POTUS45 engraved, while the other had T- T-Redwave.
