Nollywood actor and politician, Desmond Elliot, has stirred reactions in the online community following his take on the report submitted by the Lagos State Judicial Panel of Inquiry on Restitution for Victims of SARS Related Abuses and other matters.

Elliot, who is a member of the Lagos House of Assembly, was a guest on TVC Network’s breakfast show, Wake Up Nigeria, and he had a lot to say.

A portion of the actor’s interview which is currently making the rounds on social media captured him talking about the judicial panel’s report.

When asked about his stance before the report was released, Elliot maintained that he always knew that there was truly chaos and calamity at the Lekki toll gate.

"Before then, I knew obviously there was a calamity, I knew there was chaos," Elliot said.

The politician also made a reference to the death of late MKO Abiola and how the government at the time had completely denied it.

According to him, the truth will always come out, and if the current government had stayed mum on the Lekki toll gate incident, another will speak the truth.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng previously reported that Falz joined several other young Nigerians who reacted to the recent findings of the judicial panel set up to investigate the Lekki toll gate shootings.

The rap musician in an Instagram post submitted that the findings in the report are as clear as day while calling for full implementation of the panel’s recommendation.
