I’m Sorry if I Offended Anyone: Comedienne Taaooma Apologises for Visiting Vice President Yemi Osinbajo

Popular comedienne Taaooma has apologised after she was criticised for visiting Vice President Yemi Osinbajo.

In response to one Rinu Oduala who said that the comedienne did not go on a mission to speak for the youths but to promote a show, Taaooma said she would wallow in her shame.

Rinu said:

“If you had some modicum of shame, you wouldn’t have gone, even if it’s to honour your colleague, who was brutalized earlier this year by police officers without apology.”

The skit maker stated that when she was invited for the visit, she never wanted to go at first until she thought about it all over when she saw that she could use it as an opportunity to engage the vice president.

They collected all our devices

According to her, she could not make live videos of what she told the number two citizen as all their devices were collected before they gained entrance.

The comedienne said:

“I’m really sorry if I have offended anyone by going that way, but I achieved my aim. I said all I could straight to the VP. The VP’s media team were in charge of photos and videos, I might have fully declined if I knew that I won’t be able to go in with my camera of phone.”

She revealed that the skit award PR team got the photos before anybody she did and people started calling her out before she could say her own side of the story.

Mr Macaroni spoke out on the visit

Meanwhile, Legit.ng earlier reported that Nigerian comedian, actor and skit maker, Debo Adebayo aka Mr Macaroni finally eased the minds of supporters and shared his two cents regarding the visit of his colleagues to Osinbajo.

Recall that Legit.ng earlier reported that several comic stars under the aegis of Nigerian Skits Industry Awards (NSIA) were in Abuja to present Osinbajo with an award.

However, after photos surfaced on social media, Nigerian youths were quick to lash out at the young comedians for seemingly back-pedalling and dining with those in power.
