The Emir of Kano, Alhaji Muhammadu Sanusi II, has said the Hausa Communities in Kano have no grudge against Igbo residents in the state.

According to him, all the misunderstandings, animosity and rancour between the Hausa and Igbos were the handiwork of ‘rabble-rousers’, whose intention was to cause disaffection in a cosmopolitan city.

He said: “The Igbos are fully embraced and treated with kid gloves in virtually all spheres of human endeavour.

“If there was animosity and rancour from their host community, they (Igbos) would have found it very difficult to co-exist cordially."
