Gunmen Set Ablaze 2 Primary Schools, MTN Mast In Bauchi

Unidentified gunmen set ablaze two primary schools and an MTN telecommunication mast in Shadarki village in Darazo Local Government Area of Bauchi State on Wednesday.

The spokesman for the Bauchi State Police Command, Haruna Mohammed, confirmed the attack.

The incident happened on the 14th May, between 10 and 11pm, unknown gunmen stormed and set Shadarki and Yelwan Darazo Primary Schools on fire.

Fortunately, during the attack no one was killed. However, an MTN Mast Site T.1137 and the surveillance Monitoring site were destroyed by fire.

Presently the scene of the crime is surrounded by the combined security forces. The police officers are struggling to find and arrest the suspects.

The similar сase was reported on 20th April, when unknown gunmen attacked Yana town in Shira LGA of Bauchi State, setting ablaze the staff quarters of Government Girls' Secondary School.

Also today Bauchi State Police Command has confirmed the information about a car attack carried out by suspected Fulani herdsmen that has left 1 person dead and 5 others injured.
